Important: Your resume data is stored locally in your browser.

ResumeProApp is designed with a privacy-first approach. Your resume content, including all personal details, work history, education, and skills, is stored locally in your browser's localStorage. This means:

  • Your resume data resides on your device, not on our servers
  • We do not have access to, nor do we transmit, the personal content of your resumes to our servers for storage
  • Clearing your browser data or switching devices will remove your locally stored resume data unless you have exported it
  • We strongly recommend exporting and downloading your resume as a PDF to keep a backup copy

Account-related data (such as your email, hashed password, and subscription status) is stored on our secure servers. Usage analytics and aggregated, non-personal data may also be stored on our servers to improve the Services.

4. Payment Information

All payment transactions on ResumeProApp are processed securely through Razorpay, a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. When you make a payment:

  • Your payment details (credit/debit card numbers, UPI IDs, net banking credentials) are transmitted directly to Razorpay over encrypted channels
  • ResumeProApp does not store, process, or have access to your full card details at any point during or after the transaction
  • We receive only a transaction confirmation, payment ID, and order status from Razorpay
  • Razorpay's handling of your payment information is governed by their own privacy policy, which we encourage you to review at razorpay.com/privacy

Refunds, chargebacks, and payment disputes are handled in coordination with Razorpay in accordance with our Terms of Service and applicable laws.

6. Third-Party Services

We integrate with the following third-party services to provide and enhance our platform. Each service operates under its own privacy policy:

a. Razorpay (Payment Processing)

We use Razorpay to securely process all payments, including subscription purchases and one-time transactions. Razorpay is a PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant payment gateway. When you initiate a payment, your financial information is transmitted directly to Razorpay and is subject to their Privacy Policy.

b. AI Services (Resume Suggestions & ATS Analysis)

We use artificial intelligence services to power features such as resume content suggestions, grammar improvements, and ATS compatibility scoring. When you use these features:

  • Relevant portions of your resume content may be sent to our AI service providers for processing
  • Data sent to AI services is used solely for generating suggestions and is not retained by the AI providers for training or other purposes
  • You can choose not to use AI-powered features, in which case no resume data is sent to external AI services

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for marketing or advertising purposes.

7. Data Security

We take the security of your information seriously and implement industry-standard measures to protect it:

  • Encryption in transit: All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using TLS (Transport Layer Security) / HTTPS protocols
  • Encryption at rest: Sensitive account information stored on our servers is encrypted using industry-standard encryption algorithms
  • Secure authentication: Passwords are hashed using secure, one-way hashing algorithms and are never stored in plain text
  • Access controls: Access to user data on our systems is restricted to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis
  • Regular audits: We periodically review and update our security practices to address emerging threats and vulnerabilities

While we strive to protect your personal information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we are committed to promptly addressing any security incidents that may arise.
